Let Light Be

Nature and nature's laws lay hid in Night.
God said, 'Let Newton be!' and all was light

  • If you open it, close it.
  • If you turn it on, turn it off.
  • If you unlock it, lock it up.
  • If you break it, admit it.
  • If you can't fix it, call in someone who can.
  • If you borrow it, return it.
  • If you value it, take care of it.
  • If you make a mess, clean it up.
  • If you move it, put it back.
  • If it belongs to someone else, get permission to use it.
  • If you don't know how to operate it, leave it alone.

And You The Light

I bathed for hours in the light
Of conversation
Turning to leave I am struck
Feel your arms around me
Your breasts pressing into my back
And I am kissing you.
No darkness at night
Only bright dreams
And the memory
Of the first time
I saw a smile sparkle.

You speak soft melodies
I feel pulsing heat
You burn
With beauty into my mind
And I glow in describing you.
Every encounter illuminates
And repeats itself.
The hair the eyes the mind
A most desirable openness
And security to allow.
Each day I am thankful.

Enticed to wait
Made to hunger
I "crackle with life."
Sometimes, when confused
I am
Hidden
Among my own shadows
And You
The Light
To show me how...

I fall in love

The Climb

Doughboy dead at 71

Please join me in remembering a great icon of the entertainment community.

The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly.

He was 71.

Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin.

Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, Twinkie the Kid and Captain Crunch.

The grave site was piled high with flours.

Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded.
Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers.

He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes.

Despite being a little flaky at times, he still was a crusty old man and was considered a positive roll model for millions.

Doughboy is survived by his wife Play Dough, three children: John Dough, Jane Dough and Dosey Dough.  He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart.

The funeral was held at 350 for about 20 minutes.
